Mictlán

At the Mexica mythology Mictlan coming all the dead, regardless of social position , ie , the bulk of the population , provided they passed away from causes considered " natural " .
As with other aspects of the Mesoamerican religion , our knowledge of the Mictlan come mostly from colonial sources and interpretations that various religious sixteenth century made on it. In that way it has been equated with the Judeo Christian Hell. However, the main feature of Hell, the punishment for sin , appears to be absent in Mictlan .
